Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) CRPO
I am excited to begin my counselling journey with Dearborn Therapy as a practicum student enrolled in Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am committed to using a compassionate, strengths-based approach to help you realize your goals. While I am new to the counselling field, I have extensive experience in community development, using arts-based practices to connect folks to a sense of belonging through shared experiences.
I am inspired by the power of gifts and believe that honouring and celebrating the unique gifts and strengths you hold is the first step to navigating barriers and flourishing. I am particularly drawn to using solutions focused and narrative therapy approaches to help adults reach their goals in managing stress and anxiety, enhancing relationships, and living in alignment with purpose. I acknowledge that there are multiple ways of knowing, and I approach individuals and their story with humility. I am keen on weaving in relevant creative practices to help you access your essence, and to honour it as you engage in your journey towards holistic wellness. I look forward to collaborating with you from a trauma-informed lens, with consideration for the systemic factors at play in your life.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and doggos, being near the water, noticing patterns in nature, and exploring them through my visual arts practice.
I am available for evening or weekend appointments, both in-person and virtual. I welcome you to book

Boozhoo, Bonjour, and Hello,
I’m thrilled to join Dearborn Therapy as a practicum student completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I aim to provide a compassionate, affirming, and collaborative approach that honours each client’s unique experiences and needs. I love to learn about the innate strengths, gifts, and resources each person carries contributing to their healing and growth.
I’m looking forward to working with individuals ages 18 + who are looking for ways to alleviate stress and anxiety, enhance interpersonal connections, and set personally meaningful goals by drawing upon evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and mindfulness. I have a heart for equity and social justice and work from a holistic and trauma-informed perspective. I believe that healing and growth are cultivated within respectful, collaborative, and responsive relationships. I am keenly interested in how our ways of being are influenced by our attachment patterns, and within and across the various types of systems we’re associated with.
When I’m not working or studying, I’m usually with my family and friends. I love to garden, practice yoga, read, crochet, walk in the forest, and spend as much time floating on boats and paddleboards as possible.
If my approach feels aligned with your needs, I’m available for in-person or virtual appointments on evenings and weekends. Please check out the app to book an appointment with me.
Miigwech, Merci, and Thank you,
